Wedding Hair

Wedding hair is one of my specialties. It is one of my favorite things to do when it comes to doing hair. I love being a part of the bride's special day and helping her feel beautiful and ready to see her groom. I love being with the excited bridesmaids as they all get ready together. I love the feeling of love, anticipation, and excitement as two people are about to begin their life as one. I especially love the creativity that comes with creating a style specific for each bride and bridesmaid. Here is some of my work from the 2012 wedding season so far:

This is Ashley. She got married in April (the one weekend in April that it didn't snow). She was a very relaxed bride that wanted her hair softly curled, all up, and off to the side. She also liked the look of pin curls so I incorporated that look into her up-do. Her talented photographer, Nikki Jilek, was so kind to let me use some of the photos she took to display my work and Ashley getting her hair done. This is my friend Laura who renewed her wedding vows and had a reception in October. She has medium length hair and it is very thick. She wanted something loose, elegant, and romantic pulled back from her face, but with enough hold to make it through the day. She made a beautiful bride. 

This is my friend Libby who was a bridesmaid in a wedding in October. She has finer hair with a balding spot at the crown of her head. She wanted full volume to hide the spot.

This is Katie. She was a bride back in May who has very fine hair. She wanted fuller volume at the base so it made her hair look thicker.

This is Sarah who got married in June. She has shorter thicker hair and wanted a soft, not slicked back sort of look with her curls which I think we accomplished pretty good with her shorter hair.

This is susan who got married in July. She has long beautiful hair (I'm so envious of her beautiful locks). She wanted soft curls going into a side bun of pinned curls. This is her practice run because I forgot to grab a picture on her big day.
